Please stop reading this review! This film is so appallingly horrific that even reading a review of it is a waste of time.
OK, I know you can’t always trust what you read and there is something to be said for ‘to each their own’. But in this case I can safely say this film belongs to no one. Oh, it’s that bad my friends. Actually, it hurts to think about it and as I sit here at the keyboard my only thought is that this film has already taken enough from my life.
I only go on in hopes of saving you.
How I wish it was an exaggeration to say it actually hurts to watch this film. And this is said knowing full well it’s a Farrelly brothers movie (Something about Mary, Dumb and Dumber) at least those movies had some laughs. And that’s saying a lot since it has the delightful Jerry Stiller in it.
In the two hours I prayed to be temporarily blind and deaf, I heard maybe one or two laughs from the whole theatre. And even that was being generous.
The plot revolves around a jerk that marries hastily then falls for another woman on his honeymoon. I won’t tell you more, because again, the film has already taken enough of our time.
I will end on a positive note. If you’re looking for a good relationship comedy, rent “Knocked Up”. I don’t recommend relationship films very often but there you go.
